The official blurb for The Beasts of Electra Drive reads: From Hollywood Hills mansions and Century City towers, to South Central motels and the oceanside refinery, The Beasts of Electra Drive by Rohan Quine spans a mythic L.A., following seven spectacular characters (or Beasts) from games designer Jaymi’s game-worlds. Intrigued? In the clip below he reads a chapter from the upcoming video-book format.

The lead character Jaymi is a Hollywood-based games designer who faces jealousy and physical attacks from former colleagues at Bang Dead Games. Now working independently, Jaymi’s creativity becomes a mounting concern and threatens to dent the success of Bang Dead’s upcoming release of their own game Ain’t They Freaky.  Jaymi uses his talents for self protection and creates characters named Beasts which incarnate beyond the computer in 3D physical form.

Rohan Quine recently delivered a one chapter reading of his book at Novel London, a literary event  which offers aspiring authors a platform for their work – and an open-minded, appreciative audience giving tips, balanced criticism and, of course, a round of applause. It held its third anniversary at the Clock Tower above St Pancras station in London.
